On Monday, December 5, the Kolot Transition Team will hold a Town Hall meeting from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Kolot (1012 8 Avenue between 10 and 11 Street). As you have heard by now, Rabbi Lippmann, our founding rabbi, is retiring at the end of June 2018. The next few years are going to be big, exciting ones for Kolot as we undergo a process of transition and transformation, and all hands will be needed.
Gather with our rabbi, cantor, and members of the Transition Team on Monday the 5th to learn more about what the years ahead may hold and how you can participate.
Dinner will be served; please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org to be included in the count for food. Dinner is from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM. The meeting will begin at 6:45 PM.
Some background. The Transition Team was created by Kolot’s board a little over a year ago and given three tasks: to learn about rabbinic transitions; to use what we learned to develop a process for Kolot’s transition; and to communicate with the congregation. This Town Hall will be the first of a series of opportunities for the Transition Team to share what we’ve learned with the congregation and solicit feedback as we move forward.
Can’t make it Monday night? Following the Town Hall, we will email the entire congregation with information and notes from the meeting as well as specific ways you can volunteer to be involved. Keep an eye on your inbox not only for that email, but other regular updates from the Transition Team as we move forward.
Any questions about the Town Hall can be sent to me at email@example.com.
