Kolot Chayeinu, a 24-year-old progressive independent congregation in Brooklyn, is hiring immediately for the position of Teacher’s Assistant in our Children's Learning Program for Fall 2017.

The Teacher’s Assistant is expected to help support the classroom Lead Teacher in day-of preparation of materials, bringing students to class at 4pm, helping with dismissal, and set-up and clean-up including snack.

Teacher Assistants may be asked to provide one-on-one attention to students who may need extra help or need to be challenged more, and help provide classroom management support to teacher and behavior management support to students as needed.

We are interviewing for positions that meet weekly on Mondays after school. All programs take place in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn.

This position works well for Kolot Teens who are also offered mentorship opportunities by Kolot senior educators. The ideal candidate will have some Jewish background and an interest in helping to mentor younger students, and must be LGBTQI+ friendly and antiracist-oriented and available Monday afternoons from 3:50-6:15pm in Park Slope.

Please send a letter describing your interest and relevant experience Yoyneh/Jonah Boyarin, Principal of Kolot’s Children’s Learning Program, at clpjobs@kolotchayeinu.org.
