Kolot's Rabbinic Transition

Welcome to Kolot's Rabbinic Transition information section.

JOIN US for a Town Hall on the role of an interim rabbi in Kolot’s upcoming rabbinic transition on Monday, May 8th from 6:30-8:30pm at Kolot: 1012 8th Avenue.

The Transition Team was created by Kolot’s board in 5776 and given three tasks: to learn about rabbinic transitions; to use what we learned to develop a process for Kolot’s transition; and to communicate with the congregation.  This is all in preparation for our founding rabbi, Rabbi Ellen Lippmann's, retirement towards the end of 5778 (June 2018.)  Leading the charge in our Rabbinical search is our Rabbinic Search Committee, which the Transition Team created in February 2017.

On February 7, 2017 we announced the Rabbinic Search Committee Members! Click here for more information.

On December 5, 2016, a Town Hall meeting was held - the first of a series of opportunities for the Transition Team to share what we’ve learned with the congregation and solicit feedback as we move forward. Following the Town Hall meeting, the transition team disseminated a Transition Timeline.
